Audio extension cable computer

ive got a earphone, something like this, with the EXACT connector (the stereo connector): http://www.global-b2b-network.com/direct/dbimage/50323532/MP3_Earphone.jpg i have a microphone with the same and EXACT connector, like this: http://www.giant-squid-audio-lab.com/gs/mic%20scans/cardstereo.jpg THE earphone and the microphone both have the SAME AND EXACT connectors (stereo connector if thats what u call it). i want to connect them both together to make it look like this: http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11730506/Audio_Extension_Cable.jpg my question is : can i do that? if so how? do i need to cut the cables or anything. if you know how i can do this please answer a.s.a.p

These are called stereo mini plugs. There is a female to female stereo adapter. However, if you are trying to make a microphone work into an earphone you can forget it. Nothing will pass between them without an amplifier between them. A microphone produces a tiny voltage, an earphone requires a large voltage. See link

I saw something like this at my friend's house. He had his computer setup way away from where he sat, but was still able to use his headset because he had some sort of extension cable. The problem is though I've been searching but haven't been able to find something like what I want, I've only been able to find just audio extensions, nothing for a headset that has both an audio and microphone jack.

I bought a big used tv for playing video games and the problem is there is only one AV /RCA Connector (only 1 set of Red, White, Yellow) ( im not sure what they are called) and I want to use my dvd/vhs combo player and 3 video game consoles is there a product I can use that allows me to plug in all my AV/RCA Cables into one box and have that one box connected to my tvs AV Connector? I need to make my computer speakers work with 2 computers if there is anything i can buy to do that. I use 5.1 surround sound, and the cables look like the end of headphone cables, and there are 3 going into the computer for 5.1 surround sound and 3 going into the speaker system itself. it's relatively expensive, but some advanced sound systems like the Bose systems have a box controlling the speakers this box has multiple inputs and you can select the channel or input you want to use at the moment so this is the only way to have 2 computers going to the same sound system
